Building Permit Application

Contact Building Official Julie Hultman at 651-351-1661 or jhultman@cityofoakparkheights.com, when planning your project to see if a permit is required and to check on permit fees.

Below are examples for work that requires a work permit:

 

- New buildings, additions and remodeling/alteration (bedrooms, baths, porches, family rooms,swimming pools, etc.)

- Accessory buildings (detached garages or utility sheds)

- Decks, screen porches, three-season porches or gazebos

- Fire Protection (wet/dry sprinklers, monitoring systems, alterations, etc.)

- Plumbing (basement bathrooms, new construction, remodeling/alteration, sprinkler systems, hot water heaters)

- Heating (new construction, remodeling/alteration, basement finishing, furnace replacement, air conditioning)

- Fences (as required by City Zoning Ordinance, setback requirements must be met)

- Signs (as required by City Zoning Ordinance for both temporary-special event and permanent signage)

- Re-siding and re-roofing projects

- Window installation: New or replacement (sash, pocket windows and egress)
