Utility Billing Rates

Effective January 1, 2023, WATER usage rates are as follows:

 

1.         Minimum charge of $44.33 per quarter for the first 15,000 gallons of water used

2.         $3.60 per 1,000 gallons of water used above 15,000 gallons up to 50,000 gallons

3.         $4.17 per 1,000 gallons of water used above 50,000 up to 99,000 gallons

4.         $5.16 per 1,000 gallons of water used above 99,000

5.         $6.10 per 1,000 gallons for water use above 200,000

 

 

The quarterly rates for SEWER are as follows:

 

1.         Minimum charge of $87.00 per quarter for the first 15,000 gallons of water used

2.         $6.28 per 1,000 gallons of water used above 15,000 up to 50,000

3.         $6.55 per 1,000 gallons of water used above 50,000 gallons

 

Residential sewer rates are determined by the amount of water used in the first quarter of the calendar year (January 1 through March 31).  This will remain the same for the entire year.  Commercial, industrial, institutional, and high density residential rates are based on actual usage.

 

The quarterly rates for STORM SEWER are:

 

Residential property                                                                   $4.50 per quarter

Vacant residential land                                                               $2.00 per quarter

Developed commercial, industrial, high density residential        $33.00 per acre per quarter

Undeveloped commercial, industrial, high density residential    $5.50 per acre per quarter

 

GARBAGE

Effective January 1, 2008, the City began covering the fees for basic residential coverage.  There is a charge of $11.43 per quarter for a large garbage container. There is no charge for a small or medium garbage container. Recycling containers are free. Should you have extra items beyond what can fit in your container, the fee is $4.00 per additional bag of waste and a per item charge for large or bulky items.
