Advisory Commissions

City Planning Commission

 

The Planning Commission serves as the City's planning agency and conducts public hearings on matters affecting zoning, subdivision and building regulations, land use development and comprehensive planning.  Other matters are referred to the Planning Commission by the City Council from time to time. The Commission typically meets on either the 2nd or 3rd Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. and periodically holds workshops or other special meetings. Commission terms are three years and run from May thru April.

 

City Parks and Trails Commission

The Parks and Trails Commission is a board of five members, appointed by the City Council, who meet regularly on the third Monday of each month, typically at 5:30 pm as well as on other occasions, when needed. The objectives of the Parks and Trails Commission are to make recommendations to the City Council on matters affecting parks, trails, facilities and summer programming.  Commission terms are three years and run from January to December.
