Community Outreach

The City of Oak Park Heights Police Dept. is a part of several community events throughout the year.  The department finds value in community outreach and is making a positive impact on the youth of the community.

Officer Givand gives a tour to local scout troop.  He demonstrates how to lift finger print evidence and then the scouts give it a try.

Shop with a Cop

Officers helping with the Shop with a Cop event! Pepsi, Walmart, and private donations help make this event possible.  We have as much fun doing this as we hope the kids do!

Eagles Club Safe Kids Event

On April 21st, Officer Vierling participated in the Eagles Club Safe Kids Event. Despite the rain, Officer Vierling was there handing out public safety material and giving squad tours.

Chief DeRosier and Officer Vierling gave a tour of the police department to Boy Scouts from Pack 249.

Big Truck Extravaganza

Officer Vierling spent time with kids of all ages at the "Big Truck" event.  The "Big Truck" event allows an opportunity for Police Officers to meet with citizens, and it lets the citizens see the equipment that the department uses.
